I am here photographing because of you. Your story is being written as we speak, and I am driven to capture some of it with this goal in mind:
To remind you that your moments matter.
The word SoJourney stems from "sojorn," or "sojourner," meaning a traveler who stays for a short time. In our daily lives, this can be applied to our wanderings, trials, and triumphs. This is also applied to our time on earth, as we are called sojourners in this life, as we seek and prepare for the next one (Hebrews 11:13-16). Small- or large-scaled, ultimately our moments are numbered, and what we do matters. Our journeys matter! So I wanted to create not just a title, but a reminder of this message.
Whether standing on a high mountain or in a low valley; with a loved one at the beginning or the end, I’m here to photograph the moments that are important to you and your story. And I'm grateful that part of your story becomes a part of mine.
In addition to showcasing your moments, I love sharing moments of God’s stunning handiwork in nature on high-definition, metal prints. Head over to my shop to check them out!
Just to know a little about me: I live just outside of the beautiful Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado and am beyond grateful for the easily accessible hiking trails, rivers, and rocks to play on, which make for epic photoshoot locations! I currently have two adventurous cats of my own, who are harness-trained and love to chase bugs along short trail hikes! I love snowboarding, whitewater rafting, ice climbing, and hiking Colorado's 14ers (currently only 9 summited but have my sights set on all 58), and these activities inspired me towards the unique and exciting shots of adventure and sport photography. Other things that fuel my fire are books, writing, off-roading in my '97 Jeep, and eating popcorn almost daily (it counts as a vegetable, right?)
I'd love to get to know you more! Check out my portfolio to see some meaningful moments captured, then chat with me about capturing your own!
